Assignment 2: Memo (15% of final grade)

Identify a problem or issue on the City College campus, and/or throughout the five boroughs of New York City that you think could be improved, or explore something that could be a positive addition to the campus. This memo will describe and discuss the problem, issue or innovation you choose to explore, and include a recommendation for how the issue might be addressed or where one might start working towards getting the innovation implemented. For a model of what a memo can look like, see the sample memo on pages 372-374 of Technical Communication.

Ideally, assignment 2 will tie in with assignment 3, the lab report, and with assignment 4, the engineering proposal.

Length: Approx. one page.

Format: reasonable font, margins, and spacing.

10/14 – Final Draft
